Manny  began playing for the Nomads at the age of 13. In 1985, he was the goalkeeper for the U-16 team that won State Cup, Regionals and reached the USYSA National finals in Las Vegas, NV.

Manny was a valuable player for the La Jolla High School Vikings team.  He received All-CIF and All Conference awards as a senior in 1987.

Manny also played for Mesa Community College helping take the team to State Semi-Finals and receiving All-Conference and All-State First Team recognition awards.

He continued his soccer career as a coach  and became an assistant coach for Point Loma Nazerene College and UC San Diego Men's teams.

He has coached various age groups within the Nomads club with considerable success at the State level. Considered as a senior staff coach. Manny is also active within the club on the administration side.
