Nomads is coming to Orange County

Nomads SC is proud to announce its affiliation with Irvine Soccer Academy (ISA).

Established in 1976 Nomads is considered one of the premier youth soccer clubs in the nation and is pleased to announce the creation of “OC Nomads.”  Effective immediately ISA youth club soccer teams will begin operating as OC Nomads reaching out to the entire Orange County area.

Nomads SC will work closely with OC Nomads’ directors and coaching staff in formulating a training plan to enhance the development of the players’ skills and technical abilities.  OC Nomads players will have immediate access to the US Soccer Developmental Academy program as well as the Nomads Residential International Soccer School. The Academy connects National Team coaches directly with Academy clubs to develop and identify players and coaches for future Youth National Teams.

Nomads Soccer Club has a rich history in US Soccer.  Its alumni include many professional and US National Team players like Frank Hejduk,  Steve Cherundolo and Joe Corona.

Derek Armstrong, Technical Director of the Nomads since 1981, signed an agreement with Irvine Soccer Academy to establish a Nomads affiliated Club in Orange County to be known as OC Nomads.  OC Nomads, based in Irvine, will serve the whole of Orange County, CA.  Opportunities are currently available for U8 through U19 boys and girls to tryout for the OC Nomads club teams.  Interested players should register for tryouts here or simply visit ocnomads.com.

Derek Armstrong stated, "We are looking forward to developing players at all levels and to providing, 'The Nomads Way' to Orange County."
