In a “nail biting” match, Coach Joaquin Castillo and Assistant Coach Daniel Padilla, led the Nomads Boys U9 soccer team in a victory over the FC Rangers on Monday, May 29^th, 2009 at the 12^th Annual Pegasus Cup. The game ended in a 1-1 tie, taking the game into two five-minute overtime halves. With still no winner, the game went to penalty kicks, in which the Nomads won 3-2.

SD Sockers midfielder Nate Hetherington is reknowned for his vast impact on the San Diego soccer community.  Hetherington, a Nomads alum and current RSF Attack coach, will hit the pitch once again as a player for the reincarnated version of the Sockers, who will begin their season in the Premier Arena Soccer League on Nov. 7 at the new Del Mar Arena.   More Information

Nomads are committed to creating a development strategy that addresses each player’s needs and aspirations. The Nomads are a member of the US Soccer Development Academy.  We currently have Girls teams from age U9 through U18 and Boys teams from age U9 through U18.  Also, we offer a Little Strikers program for 4-5 year old boys and girls. Video of the Training Session   At the Game Part 1    In June 2008 we were lucky enough to have Argentina’s national team train at our facility. This was a special occasion and we are thankful that we had this opportunity. What an experience! Fantastic.

Last Fall the Nomads Academy boys trained on the beach at La Jolla Shores, the sunset was unbelievable.  Thanks to GOLME for the popup goals!

Kinsell Field is our showcase field located in the Clairemont neighborhood of San Diego.  The field is part of the Hickman Youth Complex which was build in the 1970's.  We always need volunteers to assist with field maintenance or donations towards capital improvement costs.  For more information contact Derek at 858-349-0869 derek@nomadssoccer.org   Driving directions here
