The GU14 team continues to play well in tournament play despite the notable absence
of 5 High School players, and numerous injuries. Despite these challenges, and the
addition of 4 talented GU13 Nomad players, not a single goal was scored against our
GU14 team.  After a long weekend, playing without many substitutions, the girls finally
succumbed to penalty kicks to a physical Corona Eagles team, 3-4 PKs.  Their 4 kicks
were beautifully placed, with no chances of a block, but the ending did not diminish the
fact that the GU14 team outplayed the Eagles during regulation time—sometimes luck
plays a part, and our goal shots wouldn’t drop.
